Hello there people.

I have been looking around the net at PS2 modchips and I am thinking of either getting a Matric Magic or Duo2 chip and have also been looking at the slider tool.

Can anyone recommend either of those or another chip for a first time modder with not much soldering experience.

Cheers

See I was thinking of getting the Duo2 chip as it's only 12 wires and I have a steady hand.

What if I got an electrician to do it for me?

I live in the UK so it's not an option to send abroad. :(

Think I have found a UK person to do it. :)

I recommend HDLoader. Might cost a little more but doesn't void your warranty and its heaps easier.

Yeah but to play backup games you still need a modchip dont you???

Or does HDloader work on it's own with a hard disk????

HD loader works with a hard disk. It works with about 95% of games. Mod chip will work with all games and who really send their ps2 back in for warranty. I personally have mine modded and have the hdloader. I like both depending on what i'm doing.

HDloader plays pretty much all games. There are some that don't work. There are lists on the net for ones which dont work.

Compared to using my mates modded ps2 I prefer HDLoader.

@kamich:
If you want to advertise on Afterdawn you need to contact the webmaster about it. You also need to avoid posting your email address since it's against the rules.
