Janrock; Maybe I did miss something Im gonna do all that you said again and see what happens... Question: Is it possible for my xbox to somehow loose the ability to let me view (FTP) files even though everything else on my xbox & dash work fine???

Hey Quad; I completely turned off my Norton anti virus and Norton internet security firewall and windows firewall. even though I have my Xbox patched directly to my PC with a crossover cable in its own nic card that I configured to allow full access with no firewall or any monitoring from my Norton or windows...I pulling what little hair I have left trying to find out what happen when all was going so well. Next possibility???

Maybe some hair got in your xbox :p
Did you change any settings on your xbox? Are you saying that one day it was fine and then the next day you couldn't? Does your xbox recognize your connection?

What's happening is that you're using FlashFXP and that it isn't allowing you to transfer files over a certain character limit. This is a mechanism that is used to prevent more piracy. I use WS FTP Pro and have no problems transferring.

@ paco...have you enabled passive mode (pasv) in flash fxp/whatever..try to get connected with windows first( clear everything and start from a clean slate), though sometimes a reboot solves these issues (pc&xbox)..I found a tut at www.geuex.be ?? (something like that) they host downloads for www.xbox4fun.com if I spelled it wrong...how's your french?? what info..(if any) are you getting about the connection..connected? speed? unplugged? you may need to clear the arp cache!!!!
I never noticed that problem with flash fxp re. character sizes/strings, maybe I'm just lucky with the transfers.. I use ws_ftp pro now as well,

Quad how I wish it was just some HAIR that got into my xbox.
No I have not changed any of my xbox settings. (NOT INTENTIONALY ANYWAY). My xbox does recognize my pc...And yes 1 day I was FTPing with NO problems and the next WS_FTP Pro can not connect...And to think Im 40 and I bet a 14 year old can fix my S@!# :(

Janrock; How do I set PASSIVE in WS_FTP Pro...On my pc when connected to my xbox I show: speed 100.0mbps, status connected. But ftp pro wont connect. I did uninstall and reinstall ftp pro, still nothing...On my xbox settings: TYPE Static, IP 192.168.0.3, LINE STATUS 100/full duplex, EATHERNET MAC ADDRESS 00:0D:3A:BE:99:5C, SETUP NETWORK YES, USE STATIC IP YES, SUBNETMASK 255.255.255.0, DEFAULT GATEWAY 192.168.0.1, DNS 194.63.248.1, DNS 217.13.7.140...
Anybody see something wrong I dont???

Why does your D.N.S. have numbers? It should be 0.0.0.0.

OK QUAD, IM GONNA CHANGE "BOTH" DNS ON MY XBOX SETTINGS TO THE ZEROS. I HOPE THAT WORKS. AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THE NUMBERS GOT PUT IN. I'LL BE BACK :)...

PACO make sure when you FTP that FTP program's xbox sites I.P. is set as what the xbox one's is

Well, that's weird. Qwix usually comes in a .zip or .rar file. It isn't like a program that has an installer. Extract it to a folder by itself and execute it from there.

Auto installers install the dashboard.

hey guys , im a newbie ,i just installed evolution x dashboard into my xbox wantedn to know if this backups will work in my xbox. i have no intenal mod, just the softmod EVOX . can anyone tell me?

Hi there, probably the answer to this question is out there, but I couldn't find it.
I have a Xbox 1.0 moded with a spider chip, with Xecuter2. I have downloaded the iso to my PC. How can put the game working on my XBOX. I can not put the ISO directly to the XBOX HD through FTP? Do I need to use an xISO to extract the files from the iso to the XBOX HD?
I could use some help.

Quad; I changed the two DNS settings on my XBOX to 0.0.0.0 but still no dice. Im gonna install WS_FTP Pro onto my laptop and see that works. maybe my deskstop is on its period...

XBOXJACK; I made sure that the IP address for my XBOX is correct in WS_FTP Pro. It has to be one of those simple things that you would NEVER think of. Heres to starting from scratch...

Ok, so I did everything from several guides: FTP'd my xbox to computer, copied contents of disc to computer HD, made an ISO file, then burned it to a dvd with Nero. I then tried to take that disk, put it in my xbox, and download it to the xbox hard drive. I use EvoX. When I put in the disc, it seems as though it doesnt recognize it. It says there is no disc, but when I hit B to copy to hard drive, it copies the contents of the disc to the hard drive. I let that finish, but when I go try to play that game, I cant find it anywhere on the hard drive. I'm almost positive it copied it because I watched the xbox hard drive disk space go down. I then tried to look at my xbox files using FlashFXP. Where did I go wrong, and what can I do to fix this problem? Thanks.
