Hi guys,
When i put the disc on to play my xbox back-up game i got this graphic problems....it pause and start ( not smooth) and sometime there is a msg saying "the disc is dirty or damage". I did try burn it at the lowest speed but with no luck.
Is that mean i got a crap dvd drive on my Xbox???
Cheers :)

Well if your original works fine then its not your drive thats the problem. Its sounds like a bad backup. Try it again with different media and a slower write speed. There is no reason why the back up should look any different to the original.

I dont see how the fan is going to affect the dvd drive. Sounds like your drive dont like your media.

It's definitely your drive that's the problem. You may have the Thomson version like me. I have it and tried it with a bunch of different media, no luck. TDK, Imation, Fuji, Sony, Verbatim...all didn't run. Just buy a big HDD and replace the original with it, then you can save games on it. No more burning.

I must be one of the lucky ones. I also have a thompson drive in my xbox (mark skaife bundle) and i have not found one disk that it WONT read. princo, tdk, verbatim, shintaro, fuji. Everything i have tried has worked. + and - r no worries at all.

I have a Thompson drive too and it plays everything. I even backed-up Intellevision Lives to a CD-RW and it plays perfectly.
