Picture is cut on the sides....NEED HELP!!!!

hi.

I has every 4 episodes of this anime that I want to put on the DVD and this is my first time really getting into dvd-video and stuff.

I have Nero Vision 2 and I used that program to drag whatever avi files and Nero did all the encoding and stuff like that. Well 6 hours later the dvd is burned and I went to go test it out and it worked...Awesome right? Well...

I realized that the picture is alittle cut off on the sides what I mean is...there are subs in the anime and some of them are really long stretching from one end of the to another and you can see like a few letters on the left being cut and a few letters on the right being cut. It's not that bad to the point where I want to just throw something at the wall but it does bother you over time.

Well I put this same dvd into my computer ...It didnt cut off the ends...

so this makes me believe in 2 things:

1) dvd has different resolutions that are set for a 4:3 tv

2) my computer is my computer and of course it will adapt to any resolution.

I am laying out the information I got in GSPOT for this AVI and maybe you guys know whats wrong.

resolution: 640 X 352
bitrate: 754 kb/s
FPS: 29.970
Qf: 0.112 bits/pixel

Projected or desired resolution

DVD-video: format NTSC .......

resolution: 720 X 480

i thought for a sec that maybe the video is PAL and so that is my it is a little cut off, but Nero usually tells me that it is PAL when Im making a NTSC DVD disc.
