I bought a box with a broken reader, so I've got a Samsung 616t PC drive on the way (to be modded to be the original xbox drive).

I understand this takes some wires and 2 other main things:

1)motor spins the other way,

2)and the BIOS gets flashed so the xbox likes the drive...

If I only reverse the motor, can I use this drive to read xbox DVD's in the PC (w/ or w/out special software)?

GameXCopy Express help menu says it can backup up console games but may require special hardware... would this be special?
