Hey, ive read some palces that you can backup your shit without anything but a perfect copy of your game. Does alchol 120 do this, or do i need a mod or the such. Any help would be aprecciated..

No way to play backups without modding your ps2 unless you want to use the knife trick, inwhich you need the swap magic disks and you break your cd tray. Best bet is probably HDloader and a HD.

u can also use winhIIP to install games on ur PS2 HD.

1. put HD in ur PC
2. start winHIIP
3.choose game
4.install
5.put HD back into ur PS2
6.play game

if u do not have a modchip or disc swap thingy, u can do this, so u can still put "backups" instead of originals on ur PS2-HD

i will set some standard speeds, that I got.


PS2 CD-TRAY --> PS2 HD

DVD-R begins with 500 KB/s ends with 800 KB/s
DVD-RW begins with 300 KB/s ends with 400 KB/s
Original PS2 CD begins with 400 KB/s ends with 600 KB/s
Backup PS2 CD begins with 300 ends with 580 KB/s
-------------------------------------------------------
PC ---> PS2 HD (using faplink)

DVD-R does 450 KB/s the whole time
DVD-RW does 300 KB/s
-------------------------------------------------------

I havn't tested anything more with faplink since the limit is under 2 GB (on this moment).

Not really any faster coping + doesn't support every game :< The games do load faster on your HDD.

A120% works great, still need to load from dvd/cd + you need a mod system/swap crapo thing.
