Hello all. I use a little program you may have heard about, called MP3Gain. Now the suggested decible level is 89.0, and yet it is not as loud as a normal CD is. Now i get my music from various places, and like to keep them at the same level. When I rip CD's with Winamp, its at 94.5 db. Is this the Cd decible level? If not, could you please tell me what is? Thanks

Yes, i would say that's an average level for general audio cd's. Whatever you set the db rate at is purely your preference. Just make sure the tracks aren't clipping. I personally have mine set at 91 (each to there own eh)

AudioGrabber is a stand alone CD Ripper you can get on the web for FREE . It has a normalise function that you can set to anything below 100% so there will be no clipping. Most Audio Engineers will use 98 % normalising setting to restore the full spectrum of the envelope.

you can get Audiograbber here :- http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/
