I thought the ground wire had to go to a specific place on the board, thats what the diagrams for the DMS on the offical page say. but all the pics i see of personal mods have people grounding the wire on just the side of the board. can i do this? i would like to know what he condictions of grounding the wire in these conditions are: http://isoldmysoultonumbus.5chan.net/i/ground_jpg_rnd__1096379312___1e7775e6.jpg

You have multiple ground points because the entire edge (most of it) is all connected to ground, as well as a plether of points throughout the motherboard. I'd recommend using one inside the board and not on the edge, but that's just personal preference. also, pick one so that your ground wire is as short as possible
