Hello,

The first thing to do when recording is to turn on Chapter Mute. This puts a chapter divide when a black screen with no sound is detected. This is how commercial feeds start and stop. This will make your life much easier.

After the recording is complete, go to the edit menu. Select Chapter Edit. Go thru on fast forward and check your chapter breaks, make sure the commercials are separated from the programing, if they are not, create chapter breaks. After this step, if you have a commercial break that has multiple chapters combine them. Do the same with the program chapters.

Then write down which chapters are the actual program.

Go back to the edit menu and select create play list, select the chapters you wrote down.

After that create a DVD and slect the play list not the original recording.

Hope that helps
