this drive didnt used to be slow, just started to slow down about a month ago, used to rip an original dvd9 in about 15-20 min.... now takes pry double that.........

Have you checked your DMA settings?

Check your pm's regarding the sig :) I already moved the thread.

Here's a link to check your DMA settings. You want the Current Transfer Mode for your drive to be some sort of DMA and not PIO.
