Hi Everyone.

I've read alot of forums just lately concerning Audio(Pressed)CDs and the problems that can occur and how they can deteriorate.

RUMOUR:Magnetic forces can damage Pressed CDs

FACT:Pressed(And I Also think CDRs)are totally unaffected by MAGNETIC FORCES no matter how strong because they are Optical not Magnetic

...........................................

RUMOUR:Light / Sunlight will quickly damage Pressed CDs

FACT:Light and Sunlight ,in moderation, will do no damage to CDs(Only CDrs)

........................................

RUMOUR.The CD laser can damage CDs

FACT:Impossible,it is a weak laser that doesn't touch the surface.If thae laser is faulty,it just won't play-No damge to CDs

Do you agree with the above.Have you heard any other Rumours?

I was also wondering how you know when a pressed CD has been Deteriorating.Without any visible Signs(Like the old PDO Bronzing)Does it sound different?
