I am desparate please help me I have a hp p4 2.66 with I think enough memory 384 mb suddenly I started having problems with my dvd burner I use roxio 6 and dvd cloner2 and to encode dvd shrink I get a lot of memory errors I change dvd drives rom and burner I reinstalled windows xp pro twice but I get a lot of memory errors my dvd burner is a dual layer that can burn up to 16x but the most I get is 4x because of the memory I am thinking it could be a memory module gone haywire any help would be helpful

I'd suggest using only one stick of RAM at a time to try and determine if it's a bad stick or not. Try alternating a single stick of RAM from slot to slot as well since you may have a bad memory slot.
