My new DVD burner is having problems recognising DVD-R media. I am using Verbatim Datalife Plus 4x DVD-R and Imation CD-R. When this media is placed in the drive, the icons in My Computer change to CD-R from DVD-RW and when I double click on this icon, it comes up as `D:\ is not accessible, incorrect function'. The drive will play my Farcry DVD rom, retail DVDs and other pre-recorded CDs. I have upgraded the firmware from 216 to 217 but the problem still persists. The drive is set as Master on its own ide cable and the hard drive and DVD rom are on a separate cable. Please can you advise in relation to this problem. Many thanks.
