hey all,

i'm newly registered on this site, but have been using the guides for some time.

Anyways, my question is, I have a RAR file that is roughly 2.5GB. I use Winrar, for example to extract the file. Now when the extraction is close to complete, i get a message: Only NTFS-formatted Drives support files larger than 4GB.

I know for a fact that my system is NTFS because if i were to right-click my hard drive, then click format, it states that my HD is NTFS formatted(Windows XP).

I've found a way around this, but not a solution.

Instead of extracting with Winrar, where it gives you that message, then deletes the ISO. Bitzipper extracts the file even if it's over 4GB, but only extracts upto 3.99GB, thus losing information.

If anyone has any ideas, feel free 2 respond.
