Phillips DVD-R610 - opinions?

Hi,
I've seen the Phillips 610 DVD-R on sale, seems like a good buy but I'm wondering if anyone here has any comments - good or bad - on it? I can find little info about it which has me a little worried!

 ... I don't know much about the DVDR610, but I can tell you that being a Philips it uses DVD+R, DVD+RW discs NOT DVD-R and DVD-RW. Also it is NOT aprogressive scan DVD recorder/player. Just because of that, I would not consider buying the unit ... There are lots of reasonably priced DVD recorders to be had that have progressive scan ... Check out this link for lots of tests on DVD recorders ...
