i just recently got into this stuff and i'm having some difficulty getting games to rip into iso's correctly.

i have used the following two programs to backup games and have had similar problems with each of them:
cubesoft phoenix 2.45
gamecube iso ripping server 1.0.0.29

now from what i can tell, it looks like these two both load the same dol file to do the ripping so it shouldn't make a difference which one i use.

most of the time the game will rip up to some point and the server and the gamecube will lose contact with each other and then forget it.

however, i did, one time get all the way through. phoenix said "backup created successfully, total backup creation time 99 minutes" but on the gamecube, the screen has just stopped, doesn't say anything to the effect of "you're done". is this normal? (this was done backing up pikmin)

also, has anyone actually played a backup of pikmin? the nintendo banner loads but then it just freezes. haven't tried taking the mem cards out yet (my roomate is watching the red sox). anyway has anyone successfully streamed pikmin
