DVD X COPY PLATINUM : Splitting problem

I have two DVD about 7.8Gi, so I split the first disc into two disc succesfully (DVD+R - Ritek name) and I continue splitting the second disc into two disc . The platinum advance mode read the DVD and ask insert the blank media to burn, so I put the blank media to burn, the software appear in the screen : " ERROR WRITING DISC, CHECK LOG FILE" I check log file and it tell me the the first part is to BIG to FIX into the DVD . I think that the first part of Original DVD only contain 3.5Gi.
Please help me to solve this problem
