After having tried philips dvd recorders sony etc perhaps i was unlucky but after about 10 machines and models i got not my preferred ideal choice a goodmans dvd recorder hosting the r+ format, Which sports an unusual feature perhaps youve noticed it already, when connecting a vid camera in my case a sony, you have to connect the white audio to the red and red to the white otherwise no sound on playback , thought my camera was defunct but no , looking in my manual it says in print thats what you need to do .....most bizarre anyone else had this novelty or have i yet again fell victim to another rogue machine
