Dolby Digital on a SVCD?

Hi this is killing me. I've been able to multiplex the orginal AC3 from a DVD with the DVDs video reencoded with bbMPEG. The resulting mpeg file plays with full audio on my PC with PowerDVD but it will not play on my home theater system. The video plays but with no audio. I've tried burning with Nero and such with no luck. Any ideas? Does the SVCD format even support Dolby Digital? If not is there away for me to trick it into thinking it's a DVD?

Not possible -- or if it works, your player doesn't follow standards. AC3 is _not_ part of SVCD standard.
