hi i am new here i have a pioneer 107 d it was writing at 8 speed but as stop and it will only wright at 4 speed now can some one help me as i have uninstlad the driver in device manager and rebooted my pc and still no joy i have the new firmwear and it just says avalible target is not found please HELP ME

unistall software, defrag & reinstall software & see what happens

no m8 i have not what can i say its just stop working at 8 speed 4 speed its cool at but y have a 8 speed when u can not do it

how old is drive, is it on its own cable or shared. do you have a spare harddrive

if other pc has same windows as this one, do a comparison of the 2. also look at device manager & see if any difference in settings for dvd. right now sounds like software corruption. 2nd hd was to load xp on fresh to see if software or hardware problem but 2nd pc showed not hardware problem
