Anyone able to play Baldur's Gate 2 with Infinity?

I have a PS2 recently modded with a Matrix Infinity. When I try to load up Baldur's Gate 2 (original, not backup), all I get is a black screen. If I disable the chip first, it loads up fine. Anyone else have this problem? I wanted to install the game on my hard drive, but the same problem happens when I try to load the game from there. Am I screwed, or is there some trick? Thanks.

I think the new Infinity update 1.38 fixes that problem.
