Hi, I have an LG GSA-4120B DVD burner that can burn at up to 12x (~16Mb/sec). I have it in an external USB case (OMNI) connected to a quick laptop with a USB2 port (yes I am sure it is USB2). I am using 12x compatiable discs. However, I am only getting about 2Mb/sec... Nero thinks that it is burning at 16Mb/sec but it always takes about 35 minutes for a full disk. It always does a perfect burn though.

Can anyone give me any advice? I want to be able to burn at 12x.
