DVD+R backups not working on my PS2 even though DVD+R movies work

When i made a backup of my DVD movie onto a GQ (Graet Quality) DVD+R and put it into my ps2, it booted perfectly.

When i made a backup of my game (Jak and Daxter : The Precursor Legacy) onto the GQ DVD+R and tried to boot it with the Swap Magic DVD Disk V 2.0, DVD Loader, and CD Loader, the disk boots after like a minute and then after showing a black screen for about 5 min. It shows the SCEA logo screen and then just freezes right there (trust me, ive waited for about 30 min. and it didnt do anything).

Ive seen the disk and its not scratched or anything, and my ps2 can read the GQ DVD+Rs and the backup i made was with Alcohol 120% and im SURE that its not a bad burn.

If anyone can help me here, id appreciate it.

try better media. its a lot more stressful on the laser to read copied games than it is movies.
