Manhunt scratches on disc, will backup run?

My disc has a few tiny scratches. They are quite far apart, they are about 2 millimetres in length. Will scratches like this effect the ripping and burning process, most importantly will it effect the way the backup plays. The real disc plays fine, but as it's scratched i'm backing it up.

if you manage to create your image file without any errors then your backup should be fine
