hi everyone,
I have a problem right now I just recently download a ps2 game and its an ISO image. I tried to burn it using Alcohol 120%. Once finished I was excited to play it in my PS2 console. Unfortunately Its not working. Did I miss something during the burning process. I am using DVD - R to burn the PS2 ISO. Any idea what is wrong? Any suggestions Thanks

alcohol 120 should be fine for burning your image and a write speed of 4x is accetable but 2x might give you better results, this leaves the media, would recomend you try good quality media such as verbatim datalife plus, ritek g04, fuji or tdk as these seem to work well in all ps2's, what exactly happens when you try to boot the backup

i see so this means that DVD+R and DVD-R should work fine for PS2 games as long as its good quality media.
Is that correct?
what exactly happens when you try to boot the backup
--- the backup just won't boot up that's all i tried resetting it a lot of times still no luck. hmm okay i'll ask my other friend to try and burn it on a good quality media. :)

certanly sounds like a media problem it might be worth trying a different brand of media or try burning at a slower speed and see if that helps and aslong as you have a v5 or above ps2 then you should be fine with dvd+r also
