I have just installed an NEC ND5300AG drive and tried to use dvdxcopyexpress. It read fine but when I put the Sony dvd+rw media in to write on it never saw the disk! The Atart button just stayed gray and never turned green for start. I checked the drive properties and it was set for recording.
I put in a Teon dvd-r media and it worked but I wanted to be able to erase and use again. That's why I was hoping to use the rw media.
I flashed the drive with a more updated firmware but that didn't solve anything. I checked the drive with dvdinfo and it said the drive was empty(no media).
The other thing I noticed is that when I check the contents of the drive with just a blank dvd+rw installed the drive properties says the disk is full! If I put a disk with data in or a dvd movie in, it brings up the contents or plays fine!
Does anyone know a fix for these 2 problems?
