well i am new at this whole burning thing, and u guys seem very intelligent. So i want to start creating backups. but every thing i read says something different about what you need. ok so i need some1 to tell me everything i am going to need to begin to burn my cds. I also do Not want to open up my ps2. So if my starting from scratch, what do i need in order to burn cds.

the minimum you will need to create backups is as follows

dvd writer(as 98% of ps2 games are on dvd)

quality dvdr media(recomend ritek,fuji,tdk or verbatim datalife plus)

burning software capable of creating and burning dvd images(dvd decrypter is free and works quite well)

swapmagic and slide card(as you don't want to take your ps2 apart)

You can use burnatonce for cd backups. This program is free also.

I have a couple of questions, how do swapmagic and slide cards work. do you have to insert originals then swap? Are copy protections on ps/2 games usually the same as their PC counterparts (if applicable) if not how do you determine the protection
