help here the problem i have dvd vr ? and ive never come accross one of these babies before it contains four movies is there any way i can put each movie on one dvd ? ive tried shrink reauthor but itjustcrasjes even dvd decrypter doesnt seem to help.
any way heres the directory andfile listings ofrthe disc

the films all seem to have menus included which im not bothered about id be happy woth just the single movies on seperate discs any help with howto do this or poiningme in the right direction regarding urls would be most appreciatedthanks in advance

I'm beginning to think no one here realy understands a DVD file system. I've made a few posts about the different files and what they mean and how to edit them, but no one ever answers.
I guess if it "ain't easy," no one here has the answers.
I WILL figure the sh_t out, and when I do, I'll be glad to help others with the file system used by DVDs. This is especially useful for those that are making DVDs that are NOT commercial DVDs.
Sorry if I sound a little bent, but I've spent over a week trying to figure all this out, and not one response from an Afterdawn user that can explain the file system. If there's info here, I sure as heck can't find it.

well not exactly the reply i was expecting but ive nearly give up trying to get my head round the disc now i can back the whole thing up but not just part of it ! Any way nice rant mate it cheered me up no end

One piece of software you might want to try is TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6. Use DVD Decrypter to rip the movie. You can then inport individual VOB files into TMPGEnc. You can also use it to create menues. I used it to copy all 5 seasons of Babylon 5. There are 4 episodes per DVD. I ripped it and copied 2 episodes per disk to retaim 100% quality. Works great and is simple to use. One thing. TMPGEnc will not work unless you rip the ENTIRE contents if the video-TS folder.

One thing. TMPGEnc will not work unless you rip the ENTIRE contents if the video-TS folder. In otherwords you will need to rip these files:

Then you can import the VOB files into TMPGEnc. You can only import one at a time but you can import as many as will fit on one DVD. TMPGEnc will then encode the files into MPEG-2 format. It has its own internal writing software to burn the DVD. It pretty simple to use.
