Hitachi 50V500 Pink?

I have a Hitachi LCD 50V500, it is just under 90 days old, and all of a sudden the picture turned a bright white. After turning the tv off for about ten minutes, I came back to a pink picture. I still have color, but the entire picture has a pink fog or background. I do have a service call on it, but has this happened to anyone else, if so was it a simple fix or am I in for a fight with my local store and Hitachi for a new tv?
