I just purchased a Lite-On SOHW-1633SX yesterday. I have been using Shrink and Anydvd to date with no problems with my internal Sony DVD burner (came with the Sony computer and is only 2X). Decided I wanted to try a faster burner and purchased above. I seem to be experiencing many of the same problems as mentioned in this thread.

Would I be better off to return this and purchase/replace my internal DVD Burner? I like the portability of the external drive but I now have about a dozen coasters as a result of it. Never get any with the current internal drive.

Any suggestions would be welcome...TNX!!
