i want to put a hard drive in my ps2 and i went to see if the one i have will work and it says ps2 v.7. what does this mean and how would i find out what version i got.

just a heads up, you'll need:
-network adapter to install a hdd
-hdloader or hdadvance
-if your not using the sony hdd, make sure the third party hdd is compatible with the ps2. stay away from western digital:
