I have recently given a "colleague" of mine 5 dvd's for a week. I have a sneeky suppision that he ripped them for his own use. Is there any way I could tell from my original?? Or maybe the most effective way is to ask him nicely while putting him in a headlock ??

No, no way to tell from originals. He ripped them, big deal, get over it. Maybe you can call the police...they may laugh at you....

Go to his house and look around for signs of copying: does he own a dvd burner, are there blank dvd cake boxes lying about, etc etc etc.

if you are so worried about it than why do you loan your dvds to this person ? it makes no sense to me to make an issue about some thing you can prevent by not loaning your dvds out !

You can't tell the difference between an original label and a printed label? Also, most originals won't have a dye on the back.

Call the local CSI, I am sure they can find evidance that this "pirate" had his way with your virgin disks.
They can help with that headlock!

lol. You step into the "pirates port" an do not expect them not to twist that tiny head?

P.S. Is this post not in the wrong forum or planet?

Monkeyme, this seams to be getting very serious. I think you just need to disconnect your computer from the phone line, cancel your subscription to your ISP, and NEVER use the internet again. Rather, pick up the phone and dial 9-1-1. Someone should be there in five minutes or less to assist you. Good luck. LMAO

Anyhow, I can't tell ya if he burned your DVDs, but I can tell ya YOU got BURNT!
