Doom3 no-cd fixed exe has prob loading?

i downloaded a no-cd fixed exe for doom3 so i could
play it without the cd.i followed the instucttions and doom 3 started but before i got to the id software cut scene it whent back to windows and the exe siad there was an error."Error: wrong game DLL API
version.plz help me.
