Is there a guide or software to backup DVD's larger than 4.4 Gigs onto Dual Layer DVD's (I know its somewhat expensive, but is there a way)?

No guide needed.

Either use DVD Decrypter ... Rip in ISO mode, then burn the ISO.

Or use DVD Shrink and change the target dvd size to dvd9 and use no compression.
