Two questions...

1. I have some TDK cd-r's I got them for $15.00 about two years ago... Im wanting to know those are some pretty bad cd's right? And if so what is a brand I could get that is fairly cheap (under $25.00 plz... i mean they are just cd's)

2. I am using a homemade slide card... I am sure this is not healthy for the PS2 but I am a cheapo what can I say... I can unlock the tray (get it to come out enough to pull it out) but I cannot relock it... in fact I cant even find the thing to push back to the left that would allow me to relock it... any ideas why?

what's up. well u can just push the tray back in with ur finger. just push it in fast and a little hard and it will lock it self. i try it myself when i took my ps2 to my brothers house and foregot to bring my slide card with me. i did it that way and still played my games. just push it back hard and the lock will move back it self. let me now if that works for you. but next time get a slide card. and the tdk cd's they are good. but u know u need to put ur games on a dvd disc and ur blue bottom games on the tdk cd's. u say u have a home made one. it should work if u cut it out the right way.

i never used the slidecard before. I always used stuff lyin' around that would fit. Just take the time to look in with a flashlight to get a feel for where exactly the peg ends up when you release it. When you go to lock it back in place it will be really far to the right.

Hmm..., just thought of this while typing, what did you use to slide the peg with? Hopefully you didn't break the peg right off when you unlocked it.

Thank you both for responding... Yes I know you must burn silver games to a dvd and blue games to a cd... and no I didnt snap off the peg because when I booted a regular game the PS2 re-locked it itself. I used a home made slide card that looked EXACTLY like the real ones... it was the same size too... Thank you for your concern!
