A single layered dvd can hold 4,707,319,808 bytes. That equals 4.384033203125 gigabytes.

If the dvd is over 4.38gb, you can split the dvd into two seperate parts, like what was done for Metal Gear Solid: Substance.

To make a backup on a single dvd-r, you can downsample the video, like what was done for the guy game. You could also strip out video that you don't need.


Or you could copy the game onto blank dvd+r dl media.

Version 4 and above do read dvd+r. All versions read dvd-r.
