Hi sorry if this has been covered before but i searched and couldnt find anything
i have just bought an artec 12x dvd +-re-writer i have undone my pc fitted the hardware now i already have a dvd player and a cd re-writer in ther on an ide cable
i have unplugged the cdrw and plugged into dvdrw but when i re-boot pc it tells me in red writing that the slave has to become the master have i broke my pc
(knew i should stick to women) or can this be rectified
also can i connect all 3 in any way.

put the cdr/w as slave to hd, put the dvdr/w as master & dvdrom as slave & see what happens

Make sure you check the jumpers are set right on the back of each drive for the position you install them on the IDE cable.
