Sounds like media problems, what are you using? I have read this was a common problem in the old days, I believe it was due to the fact that the outside of the disc is, in one rotation, covering more distance than in the middle (hence a differential drive in your car to eliminate tyre scrub when going round corners - different relative turn radiuses (is that radii?) The laser had difficulties burning & reading at the end of a film due to the greater distance it had to travel in the same timespan. A dvd is read from the inside outwards. Newer & improved technology quickly overcame this.
I could also be talking a load of crap though!!!
What media are you using, what burner do you have, what are your system specs, which standalone player do you use which software are you using. To say your question is vague would be an understatement!

I think your uncle is incorrect too. I think you have a media problem, again - what media (which type/make of blank dvd)), not software, are you using?

Ok do this and you should have no more problems.
Open DVD Shrink
Click on "Edit"
Go To "Preferences"
Under "Preferences" You will see a little drop down box.
This is where you need to change your target size
Put the drop down box on "Custom"
Then in the box to the right of that type in "4300" GB
Hit Ok and use Shrink as normal.
This should solve your problem.
You still didn't say what media you were using? This is normally caused by bad media where the dye on the disk runs off at the end. So what we did was set shrink so your not going to burn where the problem are. :-) Also what speed are you burning the DVD's at? Try to keep it under x4. Actually do keep it under x4 this will help a lot to if you can stand it x2 would be even better.
Ok hope this helps you out,

Most people here have found that Princo make crap media for burning dvds, just have a look in the media section of this forum. I would try something else, like ritek or verbatim. You have to experiment.
