I've succesfully backed up a few dvds on a superdrive using dvd backup, then burning in toast. I don't understand how to convert a large dvd into a 4.3Gig DVDR disc. Can anyone help......Please......

you have to use a DVD splitting program, and there are guides on how to use them. I do not believe there is any splitting software for mac as of yet, so *maybe* you could use a windows emulator to split the DVD and etc in IFOEdit. Good luck.

you will need.. OSEx0.0110a1, dvd studio pro, and toast.
I'm using an old b&w 400mhz, OS X. The process is slow since I have a slow computer.
