I made a backup of StarWars Ep. II and it will not play on my stand alond DVD player or my PS2. It works fine, of course, on my computer DVD player. Any ideas of what I did wrong or didnt do at all??

I used the direction on this web site...

http://www.users.dircon.co.uk/exceed.html

which worked for me when doom9 did not. In this case anyway.
Thanks for anyone's help...

Make the backup disc contain the same number of titlesets as the original to keep the process painless as possible. Strip the unnecessary languages and features from VOB files to get a maximum amount of the DVD10 information copied to a DVD5 disc. As a last step correct the VTS sector addresses in [VMGI_MAT] table. If you are doing all this but are getting breakup on playback, then use only quality discs.

I am also having problems with breakup on cheap dvd-r disks.
But they play 100% perfect on my cheap new Koss portable dvd player. Why?

If its bad media, why does it play perfect on some machines? Then it seems to me, to be the machines problem. no?

Thanks,
David

What do you consider a "quality" disc?

I was having a similar problem and found that in my set up for my data disc burning program that I didn't have the box checked to recognise VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS for DVD specifications.
