Please help bought an emprex dvdrw 8x, it says it will burn at 4x in nero but only reads at 1x with shrink and decrypter and will no longer burn properly with decrypter.

Reading at 1x does seem slow, but dvd writers aren't the best for ripping. Even the 16x dvd roms won't rip at 16x. Most 16x dvd roms will rip a copy protected dvd between 6-8x.

And as far as your burning problem with Decrypter it's hard to say, you really didn't give us any info. Just saying decrypter will no longer burn properly is very very vague.

Things you can check:

1) make sure your ide settings are set to dma.

2) make sure your burners firmware is up to date.

3) Posting your system specs and being a little more specific wouldn't hurt :)
