I have a bunch of laptops and came up with the idea of turning them into my main desktop monitor.i have disassembled most of them and i cant get the backlight to fire up. I was wondering if i wire directly out of my cideo card to the lcd pins should it display video?. I dont plan on spending alot of money on this project i was thinkin maybe just cut a vga monitor cable get a bread board from radio shack and test it out. I just wanna know if anyone has any idea if this will work. In my own mind it should but this wouldnt be the first time it failed me lol.
