Okay I finally got my slide card to work again... thank you all for helping... now when I try to boot somethin' up with AR it says "Please insert Playstation 2 format disk" and when using an old PS1 Gameshark the screen just stays black... do you think this is my Media (TDK cd-r's *not rw*) my burning (4x with alcohol) my boot disk or the games im trying to burn? they're both odd games (Music Maker and NAMCO Museum)

Your biggest problem is probably your choice of boot disc. Using a Gameshark with slidecard to boot backups is probably the most difficult method to boot backups and also has the most problems. This is why rarely anybody uses this method anymore. A Swap Magic/flip-top combination would likely solve most of your problems.
