my cd-rw drive and my dvd drive stoped workin and now when i insert a disc it ignores it and it doesnt show up on the my computer screen either it wont let me listen to cds or download off of them its like havein no drives at all discs for no reason HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

does motherboard sees drives, is there a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager. what windows are you using

We will need more system specs. On start-up, see if the drives are recognized in your bios..

it knows they are there and it does have an ! next to it when i try to reinstall it is says code 19

remove the drive in device manager, restart the computer & let windows load it's driver & see what happens

this worked my pcs dvd and cd drive are fully functioning it took me a couple hours to finally get it to work because i think the site is not completly updated it told me to just go to edit delete so i tried that like ten times and it didnt work so i just selected all and delete and it works perfectly now. the last time i rebooted i was thinkin if this time doesnt work ima call the dell people and ask for help

You might just want to take a look inside your pc and make sure the cables are still connected.
