Demux an AVI file that contains .AC3 stream ?

Hi,

I am trying to make a DVD-R from an AVI File, this AVI file contains an AC3 stream that I would like to extract as .AC3 file. Then I want to encode the AVI into MPEG2 and make a DVD out of this using DVDMaestro. The problem I am having right now, is that I don't find a tool capable of extracting the AC3 audio stream into a AC3 File. Has anyone succesfully done this ?

Try VirtualDub.

I tried, the best I get out of VirtualDub 1.4.13 is a wav stream. I would be happy if anyone could tell me whether there are tools for this. I looked everywhere on the net and found nothing like this.

Maybe you could demux it with DVD2AVI? Just a guess I haven't tried it.
