New Modchip - Old bios - OK to use??

Hey all,
I've been outta the modgame for a while. I have previously installed 2 Chameleon modchips in my and my brothers xbox's, and now am going to do another one as a late xmas gift. I am going to buy the "XBIT V1.5 ModChip" since it is completely solderless (supposively) and works with all versions, but I just have one question....

Can I still use the evolution version 3917 dashboard on this chip, or do I have to search around for new software for this new chip??

If I need new software, any help with direction would be appreciated.... Thanks guys. (And girls!)

Software is really easy to find, but just look in the usual places, and if you don't know where to go check here: http://xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php
