PSX backups on a PSTwo via MC Exploit

Is there a way for someone who has the following:

PSTwo
Ghost Switch (fancy straw/tape method)
Swap Magic 3.3
8mb Memory Card
Original (Black Bottom Store-bought) PS1 Game

to boot PSX backups? I know the "usual" way you'd go about this is via the Breaker Pro disc which is like $20, but is it possible to just load this program (or something similar) off of the memory card via the MC exploit?
