On the website, it says that the only resolutions it accepts are 480p and 1080i. I can hook it up in a few ways. S-Video works perfect at 1024x768, but the text is unreadable. I can also hook it up through Component, which so far has given me the best picture. (720x480) But windows are too big in that resolution (IE-windows messenger, windows explorer)
So my question would be, should i use Powerstrip to get a custom resolution? Or try and use Media Centers built in resolutions? Or is the 720x480 resolution the best im gonna get? Any suggestions would be excellent.
Ideally id like to hook it up through DVI cable, as that would be the most convienent for my setup. Although DVI doesnt seem to work right. After i reboot and it hook it up, it shows the post screen and the windows loading screens, but once it gets into windows it doesnt display anything. My DVI cable is one that comes with Samsung LCD monitors, it only has 3x3 pins, then a space, then another 3x3 pins, then the wide pin. On my tv and video card it has space for all 16 small pins plus the wide pin. So that means its missing some pins in the middle of those 2 pair of 3x3 sets. Could this be a possible problem?
