Hi, I'm new here and to the world of DVD recording. I got a Magnavox DVD Recorder in the plus format for Christmas and thought that I could edit out commercials, etc. with it on DVD+R discs, but the machine won't let me "make edits compatible" on the +R discs in order to play in other machines (although it will finalize the discs). Is it only possible for the edits to work on other players on DVD+RW discs? I'm very confused. Thanks for any help.
