well you guys seemed interested in learning how to boot backup's using a gamecube preview disk and a gba link cable and a gba of course
well here we go:
this trick is quite simple but you must have the new gamecube deck the one without the digital out port on the back and you must have series 1 preview disk's you will know what series you have if this trick doesn't work here is what you need
1. the gamecube preview disk with the :
sonic adventure dx trial version on it
tom clancy's splinter cell
soul caliber II
billy hatcher
viewtiful joe 1
2. a link cable for gba
3.a backed up game
4.and a gba itself
let me explain how this work's on this demo disk there are two linkable gba games one is wario warz and the other is doctor mario basicly you hook up the gamecube with the gba in port 2 and you controller in port 1 and place the preview disk in the gamecube drive and start the preview disk then select one of the gba demo's and download it to your gba then once the screen say's you may disconnect the gba and begin playing open the drive and place the backup in the drive but
remember this will only work with new deck's produced after may 2004 and will only work with preview disk's series 1
drawbacks...
1.some backups work some don't
2.some will format your memory card
3. have fun trying to find series 1 demo disk's
i have found a series one demo disk and have had it fully functional with games like metroid prime 1 & 2
but i tried it on my freind's older gamecube and it doesn't work because of the digital out port
kinda weird
but you can search ebay and amazon.com to see if they have the series 1 disk but you really don't know if you have one untill you try it that's why i haven't really posted this because
1. it expensive
2. it's easyier to stream games
3. and it's much easyier to just buy a modchip and have a better time and not all that **** hooked up to your gamecube
so have fun
